ABSTRACT
The article deals with the need for farmers in Great Britain to leverage their properties. Farmers are failing to make the most of the increasing value of their land, according to an agricultural partner at one of the country's largest accountants. Richard Crane of Deloitte said property was a farmer's most valuable asset and could be leveraged to allow expansion and diversification. And because prices were rising so fast the amount of land that needed to be risked was getting less all the time.
