ABSTRACT
The article reports on a research study aimed to find out the cost-effectiveness of coronary artery bypass grafts versus percutaneous coronary intervention for revascularization of high-risk patients. About 445 patients who has medically refractory myocardial ischemia were studied. The study found that in patients with medically refractory myocardial ischemia urgent revascularization with percutaneous coronary intervention was more cost-effective than coronary artery bypass grafting.
