ABSTRACT
The article reports that styrene monomer prices in China are affected by the absence for styrenic plastics such as polystyrene, expandable polystyrene and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene post-Chinese New Year. According to the author, plastic traders had anticipated a revival in demand after the festivities in February 2007, but buying interest for resins remains lackluster. The author stated that suppliers have had to seek alternative avenues to sell material because of poor consumption.
