The article reports that the slow titanium dioxide sales and price erosion in the U.S. are affecting the second quarter of 2007 performance in Europe. According to the author, no price hike announcements have been made for the next quarter, which traditionally marks the start of the peak paints and coatings season. There are renewed fears that U.S. volumes could be redirected towards Europe, where demand is healthier.
