ABSTRACT
The article reports on the financial performance of German silicon and chemicals company Wacker Chemie in 2006. The company achieved earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of €786 million, up by 39 percent on an adjusted basis, on sales of €3.34 billion, up by 21 percent. Net income was €311 million, more than double that of the previous year.
