ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) to cancel its Green Goat hybrid generator orders from Railpower Technologies Corp. The author concluded that the financing terms of the contract represented a major loss on the financial performance of RailPower on September 30, 2006. Six GG20B Green Goats were returned at the former CPR Ogden Shop of Alstom in Calgary before the program was suspended during third-quarter 2006.
