ABSTRACT
The article reports on exercises to do in preparation for swimming strokes associated with the individual medley. The author focuses on the backstroke. The exercise must be performed using a pair of five-pound dumbbells and exercise tubing. It is recommended that athletes perform twelve to fifteen reps of the exercise two or three times a week.
