ABSTRACT
The article reports on the findings of the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) regarding shipments of steel in the U.S. and Canada during the fiscal year 2006. According to report, January 2007 shipments of steel products from service centers decreased compared to the previous year. Steel shipments from U.S. service centers dropped by 2.5 percent from January 2006. On the other hand, shipments of steel from Canadian service centers decreased by 4.6 percent in January 2007 compared to 2006.
