Bushwick Acquires Koons Steel

The article reports on the acquisition of steel service center Koons Steel Inc. by Bushwick Metals Inc. in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A new entity known as Bushwick-Koons Steel will be established as a result of the transaction. Koons Steel offers wide-flange beams, pipe, tubing and flat-roll products and a number of galvanized minimill products. According to Koons Steel manager Frank Koons III, the primary focus of the merger will remain to be quality and service.
