Media services powerhouse rises

This article discusses the issues surrounding the merger between media services firms Starcom Worldwide and MediaVest Worldwide in 1999. According to Starcom COO Bob Brennan, the structure of the merger is yet to be debated. Several executives are worried about the merger, wondering what the effect of the merger is for other businesses. Before the merger, the companies experienced high earnings in 1998. Also during that year, the companies had already tried to form a partnership. After ailing to do so, they tried again a year later.
