ABSTRACT
The article features Herman Bressler, a man who knows how to make bluebird nest boxes, in New York. Since 1985, the New York State Bluebird Society (NYSBBS) has received more than 31,300 nest boxes from Bressler, according to Ray Briggs, longtime NYSBBS director. In 1998, former Governor George E. Pataki recognized his contributions to helping the bluebird population in New York rebound when the species was removed from the special concern list.
