ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the work of forest rangers from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in New York. Forest Ranger Jim Giglinto assisted investigators by interviewing personnel at the Lake Placid Regional airport, where he was able to identify the name and address of the pilot who landed on Iroquois Peak in the High Peaks Wilderness Area. Forest Ranger Tom Koss was requested by the New York State Police to assist in the manhunt for escaped convict Ralph Phillips.
