ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's experience of working with the organization Wilderness Restoration Volunteers (WRV) that worked to restore the natural environment of Carnage Canyon, Colorado. He says that instead of sending contributions by check to various organizations, one should instead voluntarily work for the cause in one's neighborhood. He says that his association with WRV made him more satisfying than sending a check, as he could always go later to see the result of his efforts.
