The article reflects on the medical career of the Canadian poet William Henry Drummond. The journey of the poet to Cobalt in northern Ontario, owning a silver mine and helping people in town when the town had no doctor is presented. The article also presents a short story of Drummond who attends a call for help from the town's company doctor.
