ABSTRACT
The article reports that a trilateral fiscal agreement signed between the Alberta Medical Association (AMA), the provincial government and the province's 9 health regions on March 13, 2007 has proposed a 4.5% pay increase in physicians fees. It is mentioned that Alberta province has set a standard for physician fee increases across the nation with the agreement. Also suggested is that the increase will attract additional doctors needed to handle the population increase.
