ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of Boise, Idaho-based memory manufacturer Micron Technology Inc. to open a manufacturing facility in Xi'an, China in March 2007. The factory will assemble and test Micron semiconductor products such as dynamic random access memory and not and (NAND) flash memory. The company will invest $250 million in the facility that will support up to 2,000 employees. Micron chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Steve Appleton stated the significance of the facility.
