ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's experience of being trapped in the woods with no one but his dogs. Deep in the wilderness in a hunting trip with his two dogs, Jack and Lilly, he suffered a major stroke and no one could hear or see him. His two dogs protected him from the cold and from the coyotes. With no rescue training, he asked Jack to find help and miraculously Jack brought a hunter with him to help the author.
