ABSTRACT
The article reports on productivity slow down in the U.S. and Europe in 2006. Based on an annual analysis of global trends conducted by the Conference Board in New York, the U.S. figures were the lowest in more than a decade while the European Union posted modest gains of only 1.5%. Bark van Ark, director of International Economic Research said that such figures raised doubts on the contribution of information and communication technology in global productivity.
