The article focuses on the convenience retailers who are considering beer caves as an attractive option keeping an eye on the increased sales in beer category. Beer caves offer more space for merchandising beer and require less store-level labor and sales floor area than warm multi-packs. According to John Zuber, marketing director of a retail outlet that runs 90 convenience stores, there is no particular sales threshold that makes a beer cave worth the investment.
