DeSmet is chosen for INEOS project

The article announces the selection of DeSmet Ballestra by INEOS Enterprises as a technical partner for its biodiesel project in Grangemouth, Scotland. DeSmet will undertake the front-end engineering design for the plant, which will have a capacity of more than 500,000 tonnes/year. INEOS is developing five biodiesel projects, including the Grangemouth unit, as part of plans to achieve at least 2 million tonnes of biodiesel output by 2012. It is also considering a project in Germany.
