ABSTRACT
The article reveals that shares of Reliance Industries rose by 1.4% due partly to a report that its top management was about to sign a joint-venture deal with Dow Chemical. The "Economic Times" cited unnamed sources as saying that negotiations between senior management teams, including Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Dow Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andrew Liveris, were at an advanced stage. The joint venture would have Reliance take over Dow's commodity chemicals and plastics businesses, the article added.
