The article provides a comparison on the commodity petrochemical markets in Europe and Asia. European ethylene spot numbers are at $1,230-$1,270 per ton, while spot ethylene prices in Asia are quoted at $1,050-$1,080 per ton. Butadiene spot numbers in Europe are at $1,200-$1,250, while Asian prices offer above $1,110 per ton. Other petrochemical markets that are compared include benzene, xylene, paraxylene, orthoxylene, styrene and methanol.
