ABSTRACT
The article reports that a consultation on the assessment of indoor air quality has been launched by the European Commission and the Scientific Committee on Health and Environmental Risks (Scher). The move follows the publication of a preliminary report by Scher that identified a number of factors related to the indoor environment that could affect human health. The consultation is aimed at gathering feedback on the suitability of the existing risk-assessment methods for indoor air.
