ABSTRACT
The article reports that Huntsman has started to prepare a U.S. site for its 45,400 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) project in Geismar, Louisiana. The $100 million plant is scheduled to come on stream in the fourth quarter of 2008. The MA facility will be constructed on the site of Huntsman's former toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant, which is being dismantled after its closure in 2005 because of weak margins.
