Tax perk for foreign firms comes to end

The article reports on the plans of China to harmonize taxes for foreign and domestic companies in order to put an end to a financial benefit enjoyed by overseas investors. Based on Chinese official statistics, foreign companies will pay an extra amount of $5.1 billion in tax on an annual basis. The Chinese government also intends to build a more sustainable economy by reducing growth rates to 8%.
