ABSTRACT
The article investigates on how usable is the generation of mobile phones, stirred up by the emergence of Apple's iPhone in 2007. According to the author, if the purpose is to encourage mobile users to try new content and services, today's cellphones are not fit but it could also be that more functions are being fit into one device. Despite the growth in quality and quantity of services like browsing, mobile email and downloading of mobile games in 2006, cellphone usage in these areas showed slow growth. Nokia squeezes as many applications, Sony Ericsson on music, Motorola on key functions of making calls, emails and play music. To settle the debate on usability of mobiles, a trend will develop based on iPhone's launch with the message that mobile phones must to users' needs and wants.
