The article discusses the classic API 5500 Dual Equalizer designed by Automated Processes Inc. founder Saul Walker. The construction of the 5500, which includes two 4-band AIM 55OB equalizers, two hand-built 2520 operational amplifiers and a steel-and-aluminum case is explained.
