ABSTRACT
The article discusses music playback, DSP resources and the tools for setting the bar. The composers use next-generation consoles in composing music for games with more planning and thought into the architecture of the music. The manipulations involve 64 channels to any number of channels, from stereo to 11.1 surround. The comments of Dan Forden and Marty O'Donnell are mentioned. The article concludes that the online gaming has become a part of game play with next generation consoles.
