ABSTRACT
This article discusses the "Cherry Nutrition Report," released by the Cherry Marketing Institute (CMI) to help raise awareness of the health benefits of cherries. The report reveals that tart cherries have the highest levels of disease-fighting antioxidants compared with other fruits. It reviews research linking cherries to a variety of health benefits including easing of arthritis pain. Jeff Manning, chief executive officer of CMI, said the health benefits could mean more demand for cherry products in supermarkets.
