The article focuses on the role of Latino actor Louie Olivos, Jr. in the short film "Afterglow." Olivos took on the role of a gay Mafia leader in the short film. He is chosen because of his natural and believable performance during the audition according to director Melissa Yu. He is casted for the role through the Back Stage West. Olivos says that he is proud to represent the Latino actors.
