ABSTRACT
The article reports on the approval of the $180 million worth of investment funds by the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) to be managed by four private equity managers. On March 14, 2007, SERS approved plans to invest up to $40 million in Insight Venture Partners' fifth private equity fund, $60 million in Avenue Special Situations Fund V and $40 million to Oaktree Capital Management's OCM Opportunities Fund VII and an additional $40 million to OCM Opportunities Fund VIIb.
