ABSTRACT
The article reports on the recent official reception of the unmanned aircraft system known to the Israel Air Force (IAF) as Shoval and as Heron to Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) international customers by the service, though it earned its combat stripes with distinction during last summer 2006's Lebanon conflict, according to IAI. This celebrates an important milestone in the relationship and ability of the IAF and IAI to jointly develop systems vital to defense, according to IAI President Itzhak Nissan.
