ABSTRACT
This article reports on the move of Mosaid Technologies Inc. to sell certain assets of its system division's automatic test equipment business to Teradyne Inc. for $20 million in cash. In doing so, Mosaid will cut 57 jobs -- slashing its current workforce of 116 employees nearly in half. Fifteen of those workers, however, will transition to jobs at Teradyne. Teradyne also intends to hire the new product development team of the systems division.
