GE taps into environment spotlight

According to studies by the U.S.-based Vinyl Institute, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is proving to be a useful material for saving energy and water. The studies indicated that using pipes made of PVC saves millions of gallons of water resources each year and the pipes are more robust than traditional materials.
