ABSTRACT
The article reports on the hiring process with respect to cultural differences in the workplace. The phrase used is competent cultural hiring. More managers are attentive to this factor since the entire organization needs to work together productively. The first priority for hiring is to evaluate the candidate's overall fit into the organization. The potential employee's social skills and job skill set must be thoroughly and simultaneously analyzed. The manager then looks at the current atmosphere, conversational styles, friendships, personal information, teamwork and trust characteristics within the department. The author suggests some additional tips to coordinate the best possible fit for employer and employees.
