UNLV Seeks Bond Boost

The article reports on the plans of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to seek for additional bond authorization worth $83.1 million from the U.S. Congress. The requested bonds will be used to finance the construction of an academic building for UNLV's hotel college, for parking facilities and for other campus improvements. It is accounted that Governor Jim Gibbons has suggested that the university be given an appropriation of $293.7 million for fiscal year 2008.
