ABSTRACT
This article is about the history of Mevleviyye in the region of Kütahya/Turkey. In this study, we are concerned with the history of Kütahya Mevlevihane from it's beginning up until closure in 1925. We shall deal with the lives of all Mevlevi masters (Sheyh) with a special emphasis on their partucular ideas. We shall also focus on the place of Kütahya Mevlevihane in the social, cultural and political life of Kütahya in particular and Otaman State in general.
