ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the participation of paralyzed veterans and others with disabilities in an ice-fishing derby on Lake Kampeska in Watertown, South Dakota. Several local fishermen, venders, and members of Dakota Sportsmen Inc. has provided heated ice shacks, a heated tent and equipment. Ice-angler Steve Thompson continues to be active in winter fishing derby despite from becoming paralyzed in a snowmobile accident.
