ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Nova Innovene to increase its European expandable polystyrene (EPS) capacity from 350,000 to 410,000 tons per year. According to Martin Pugh, managing director of Nova, the debottleneckings will meet rising EPS consumption, which is driven by demand from the construction sector, where insulation is now recognized as the most effective way of improving energy efficiency.
