ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Huntsman to sell its base chemicals and polymers business to Flint Hills Resources. The manufacturing assets of Huntsman that will be part of the deal include the olefins and polymer plants in Texas. Not included in the sale was the captive ethylene unit at Port Neches, Texas. Huntsman president and chief executive officer (CEO) Peter Huntsman said that upon the closing of the deal, the company will have completed its planned divestitures of its commodity petrochemical businesses.
