ABSTRACT
The article discusses a lecture on the reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA), presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' Annual Meeting in 2006. The authors believe that RTSA is a powerful tool for managing problems in relatively older and less active patients. Among the topics covered in this lecture were socioeconomic considerations, possible applications and complications.
