ABSTRACT
The article discusses the potential benefits of warrant holders if Mirant Corp. will be acquired in the U.S. Paul Berkman, senior vice president at J. Giordano Securities Group,says that Mirant has two classes of stock warrants. These are purposely designed to protect holders in case of a cash takeover. He stresses that if the company be acquired for $41 a share, the warrant holders will enjoy a 22 percent gain while holders of common stock will gain 10 percent.
