ABSTRACT
The article discusses the provisions included in the agreement entered by Kohberg Kravis Roberts & Co.(KKR )and Texas Pacific Group (TPG) in operating TXU Corp. in the U.S. One notable aspect of the deal is the concessions made by KKR and TPG concerning TXU's environmental policies. The environmental initiatives include the investment of $400 million in initiatives to help customers reduce energy demand and the expansion of investment in renewable energy.
