ABSTRACT
The article reports on the proposed reduction in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements to the local hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. The cut was proposed in the U.S. President George W. Bush's budget for fiscal 2008. Tiffany Himmelreich, spokeswoman for the Ohio Hospital said that if the cuts are approved, Ohio hospitals would lose an estimated $980 million over five years.
