Alcatel-Lucent in joint venture with NXP to deliver mobile TV in S-band

The article presents information on a joint venture between Alcatel-Lucent SA and the company NXP Semiconductors that are working on semiconductor and system development to support the delivery of broadcast mobile TV in the S-band. With both firms actively promoting the DVB-SH Mobile TV standard, NXP will introduce its first S-Band-compatible RF chipset.
