ABSTRACT
The article reports that New York-based Pfizer's acquisition of BioRexis Pharmaceutical has made it one of the growing number of companies looking for a share of the worldwide market in diabetes. The increase of the interest of pharmaceutical companies in novel targets for injectable biotechnology drugs to treat diabetes is the result of the increasing disease incidence and the deficiencies of oral therapies.
