The article reports on the launch of IDS, an intelligent dimming system for lighting control, by Lee Colortran. The system incorporates various features intended for studio and theater use. It is a modular system wherein a complete rack can handle 54 modules dual in 2.5 and 5 kilowatt ratings or in single 10 kilowatt ratings. Its remote diagnostic functions include card fail, trigger card output mimic and load mimic. The input voltage of IDS is 190 volt -- 280 volt alternating current (AC).
