The article offers information about the Sea Control Squadron 37 (VS-37) which was established in 1946 at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Oakland, California. The VS-37 received the S2F-1 Tracker after a 1954-1955 deployment on board the USS Princeton (CVS-37) covering the evacuation of Nationalist Chinese forces from Tachen Island. After several years of upgrades and deployments, the VS-37 was disestablished on March 31, 1995.
