'Python' alum gets 'Messiah' blessing

The article reports that singer-comedian Eric Idle has announced that his next theatrical project following the musical "Monty Python's Spamalot" will be "Not the Messiah," a comic oratorio that will have a world premiere in Toronto, Ontario in June 2007. Set as part of the city's inaugural Luminto Festival of the Arts, the musical is loosely adapted from the British film "Life of Brian." The piece has been commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
