ABSTRACT
In this article, the author shares her experiences in culinary classes with her mother. Every weekend, the author and her sister would meet their mother in the kitchen. Their mother instructed them to prepare and cook recipes. Her mother guided her when she failed to cook a recipe. Eventually, her mother no longer does most of the cooking but instead stands aside as she prepared the food.
